I am thankful for the journey…. I am thankful f

I am thankful for the journey….

I am thankful for the person I was, and the person I’ve come to be.

For when I look inside myself, it’s not just me I see.

It’s everyone I’ve interacted with, they’re a part of this person in the mirror I see.

It’s everyone I’ve ever cared about, my close and extended family.

It’s those brave enough to ask for help, and I was able to lend a hand.

It’s those who gave me moments of their time,
Or stood beside me when we made a stand.

It’s every village that raised me, every tribe that took me in.

Those that celebrated my victories, or raised me from the darkest depths I’ve been.

The thing that sometimes haunts me, is that they may not know.

That somehow this person I see inside me, may not have told them so.

So please tell everyone you love, how much they mean to you.

And maybe you’ll say it to one of those, I forgot to say it too.

For we really are from the same village, aren’t we all just family?

I’m thankful for everyone in this tribe,
We call humanity.
